The two main U-tube burners produce 36,000 BTU combined (18,000 BTU each). The angled infrared rear burner adds 13,000 BTU when used for rotisserie cooking, for a combined system total of 49,000 BTU. The main burners and rear burner are independently controlled, so you can use them together or separately.

Yes — the rotisserie kit is included in the box at no extra cost. The motor is rated for up to 40 lbs, which is enough for a whole turkey, a large roast chicken, prime rib, or a leg of lamb.

The Quest 30 includes: rotisserie kit (motor + spit, 40 lb capacity), drop-in stainless steel griddle plate, stainless steel rib rack, smoker box, and a grill cover. Two multi-position warming racks are built into the grill. The only significant items sold separately are the freestanding cart (CART-QST30-DC) and the insulating grill liner for combustible island builds (GL-QST30).

Yes. The grill head can be paired with the Summerset Deluxe Cart for 30-Inch Quest (CART-QST30-DC), which features folding side shelves, front-locking caster wheels, two storage drawers, a propane tank access door, and ventilation. The cart is sold separately.

If your outdoor island is constructed from combustible materials — such as wood framing or plastic composites — yes, the Summerset insulating grill liner (GL-QST30) is required by the manufacturer. It provides double-wall insulation to protect surrounding framing from heat. Islands built from non-combustible materials such as steel studs or concrete block with proper clearances may not require it — consult the installation manual and your local codes to confirm.

The grill requires a minimum of 14 inches of clearance on the right, left, and rear from protected combustible walls (4 inches of non-combustible material plus an additional 10 inches to the combustible surface). The island must also include ventilation: at minimum a 4-inch vent opening at the top and one at the bottom to allow free air flow and keep the enclosure cool. Always follow local codes and the full installation requirements in the user manual.

The Quest 30 is available in Natural Gas (QST30-NG) and Liquid Propane (QST30-LP). Select your fuel type above before adding to cart. Fuel conversion between NG and LP may require a manufacturer-supplied conversion kit and professional installation — contact us before attempting a conversion.

Summerset covers the Quest 30 with their Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty for construction, cooking grates, burners, burner covers, valves, heat zone separators, ceramic briquette systems, and temperature gauges — for the life of the original owner. Electrical components and all other parts carry a 3-year warranty. Labor is excluded. Warranty must be registered online within 30 days of purchase and applies to the original purchaser at the original delivery site.

Summerset's warranty does not cover discoloration, surface rust, corrosion, or oxidation resulting from harsh environments, chemicals, or overheating — and coastal, humid, and salt environments are subject to manufacturer review. Proper maintenance, regular cleaning, and use of a grill cover are essential for long-term performance in coastal climates.

Each control knob has a bezel indicator light. When a burner is off, the bezel glows white. When a burner is ignited and on, the bezel shifts to red — giving you an immediate visual confirmation of which burners are active without leaning over the grill. The waterfall LED strip runs along the front face of the control panel and stays on for ambient illumination after dark.

The Quest 30 cooking grid measures 26¼" wide by 19½" deep, covering 512 square inches of primary surface. The ceramic briquette trays sit between the burners and the grates. They absorb and radiate heat evenly across the full cooking surface, reducing cold spots and improving heat consistency from edge to edge. They also vaporize grease drippings on contact, producing smoke that adds flavor — similar to what you get from charcoal grilling. When the cook is done, the trays are easy to remove and clean.
