It means the MDF used in the Newport has been tested and certified to low-emission standards, which is important when placing furniture in enclosed living spaces like game rooms or basements.

"True Roll" is Hathaway's name for their tournament-tested cushion bumpers. They're designed to provide consistent, predictable rebound angles — the same ball behavior you'd expect on a quality table at your local billiard hall. Dead spots or erratic bounces are the most common complaint on entry-level tables; the True Roll cushions are specifically engineered to avoid that.

Each of the two benches has a padded leatherette seat that lifts open using dual hydraulic gas lifters — the same mechanism commonly used on storage ottomans and bed frames. Once open, the interior compartment is sized to hold cues, balls, paddles, and other game accessories. The hydraulic lifters hold the lid open while you reach in and close gently on their own.

Each leg has an independent adjustable leveler — a threaded foot that you turn to raise or lower that corner of the table.
