1,056 Square Inches of Flameless Grilling Power — Set It on Any Outdoor Surface and Cook
The ElectriChef Diamond 48" Tabletop Electric Grill: full dual-zone Diamond performance, no island required, no open flame — built in Texas.
Set it on any flat outdoor surface, connect to a 208/220V outlet, and you have 1,056 square inches of precise, flameless cooking — the full Diamond-series engine on four stainless steel legs. Dual independent digital controls give each half of the grill its own temperature zone and 10–60 minute timer, from a slow 150°F finish all the way to a full 600°F sear. Built from 18-gauge, 304-grade stainless steel and UL Listed for outdoor use, the grill body ships fully assembled — attach the four legs and you're ready to cook. No island to build, no gas line, no charcoal. Just the grill, a flat surface, and power.
Full Diamond Performance, No Island Required
The Tabletop model puts the identical cooking engine as the Diamond Built-In on four stainless legs — same surface area, same dual zones, same precision temperature range — for anyone who needs maximum grill without maximum construction.

1,056 sq. in.
Cook the Whole Spread at Once
At 22" deep by 48" wide, the cooking surface handles steaks, fish, chicken, and vegetables simultaneously — no relay cooking, no keeping guests waiting while the next batch comes off the grate.
150°F–600°F
Sear Hard, Finish Low — the Full Range
600°F produces a proper steakhouse crust; 150°F brings delicate proteins slowly to perfect doneness. The 450-degree span gives you precision that gas valves and charcoal management simply can't match.
Dual Zones
Two Temperatures Running at the Same Time
Two fully independent digital control panels operate separate halves of the cooking surface simultaneously — sear on one side while you hold a lower temperature for vegetables or indirect finishing on the other, without either zone affecting the other.
Zero Flame
Grill Where Gas and Charcoal Are Off-Limits
No open flame means compliance with fire ordinances that ban gas and charcoal on high-rise terraces, condo balconies, rooftop decks, and apartment common areas — serious grill performance in the spaces where you actually live.
304 SS
Commercial-Grade Build, Season After Season
18-gauge, 304-grade stainless steel with a #3 brushed finish — the same material spec used in commercial outdoor kitchens — resists corrosion and holds its appearance outdoors without constant maintenance.
Legs On, Plug In
Ready to Use in Minutes
The grill arrives fully assembled — attach the four included stainless steel legs, set it on a flat outdoor surface near your 208/220V outlet, and you're cooking. No island to build, no contractor to call, no weekend lost to assembly.

Deep Dive — Diamond 48" Tabletop Features
›
Dual 10–60 Minute Timers with Automatic Shut-Off
Each digital control panel runs its own 10–60 minute countdown timer with automatic shut-off when the time expires. The grill powers on at a default of 350°F for 60 minutes — dial up or down to your target temperature, let it preheat for 10–12 minutes, and grill. If you need more time before the timer runs out, pressing the ON button resets it to 60 minutes at your current temperature without missing a beat.
Even Heat Across Every Inch — Stainless Steel Heat-Flavor Plate
A dedicated stainless steel heat-flavor plate beneath the cooking grids spreads heat uniformly across the full 48" surface. No hot spots to chase, no cold corners to avoid — consistent, even cooking from edge to edge on every cook.
Dishwasher-Safe Grids and Removable Grease Trays
All four cooking grids and all four removable grease trays pull out easily and are dishwasher safe — post-cook cleanup is a rinse cycle, not a scrubbing session. Two stainless steel warming racks keep finished food at serving temperature while the rest of the meal catches up.
Who It's For — The Deck & Den Take
›
The Deck & Den Take — The Tabletop is the right Diamond if you have an outdoor prep counter, a sturdy patio table, or any solid flat surface near a 220V outlet — and no desire to build an island or haul a rolling cart in and out. You get the same 1,056-square-inch cooking surface and dual-zone precision as the other Diamond 48" configurations, just on four legs. It's particularly well suited to balconies with built-in ledges or counters, catering setups, and patios where a permanent installation isn't practical but you still want flagship-level output. One thing to keep in mind: once you plug it in and it starts heating, leave it where it is — ElectriChef recommends not moving the grill once it's connected and hot.
-
Patio and balcony grillers with an existing outdoor counter or table who want Diamond-series performance without building an island or buying a full grill cart.
-
Condo, high-rise, and rooftop residents where open-flame ordinances apply and a permanent built-in isn't feasible — the Tabletop sits on any solid flat surface and complies with no-flame codes.
-
Hosts and caterers who cook large quantities — 1,056 square inches of dual-zone cooking surface handles a full crowd in a single session.
-
Precision cooks who want consistent, repeatable results without managing charcoal airflow or gas pressure — set a temperature, hold it, and cook with confidence.
-
Anyone upgrading from a smaller electric grill who wants the maximum cooking area the Diamond series offers, in the most straightforward format to set up and use.
-
Buyers committed to a long-term appliance — 304 stainless steel construction made in Texas, with a lifetime warranty on stainless steel assemblies, means this grill is a one-time purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions
›
What surface does this grill sit on, and what are the setup requirements?›
The Tabletop model sits on four included stainless steel legs, placing the grill body on any flat, stable outdoor surface — an outdoor counter, a sturdy patio table, or a dedicated outdoor prep station. The surface must be level and strong enough to support the grill at 150 lbs. Once you've positioned the grill and connected it to your 208/220V outlet, do not move it while it is plugged in and heating.
Does any assembly come with this grill?›
The grill body arrives fully assembled. The only step before use is attaching the four included stainless steel legs — then it's ready to place and plug in. No tools or other components are needed beyond what's in the box.
What electrical outlet is required?›
A NEMA 6-50R receptacle rated for 208/220V on a dedicated 40-amp single-phase branch circuit. Extension cords must not be used — the grill must connect directly to the outlet. If you don't have this outlet where you plan to use the grill, have a licensed electrician install one before the grill arrives.
Can I move the grill once it's plugged in and heating?›
No. ElectriChef recommends placing the grill in its intended position before plugging it in, and not moving it once it is connected and heating. Position the grill where you intend to use it first, then connect power.
Do I get real sear marks with this electric grill?›
Yes. The grill reaches 600°F — hot enough to produce proper sear marks and a caramelized crust on steaks, chops, and burgers. You get the sear without any charcoal or gas flavor; the taste is purely the food.
What does each digital control zone independently control?›
Each of the two control panels operates its own half of the cooking surface independently — temperature setting and a 10–60 minute countdown timer. Run one side at searing temperature and the other at a gentler holding temperature simultaneously, without the zones affecting each other. Both timers cut power automatically when they reach zero.
How does the automatic shut-off timer work?›
The grill defaults to 350°F for 60 minutes when powered on. Use the arrow buttons to set your target temperature. When the timer counts to zero, power to the heating elements cuts off automatically. To keep cooking without losing your temperature, press ON before the timer expires — it resets to 60 minutes at your current setting.
Are there hot spots on the cooking surface?›
No. The stainless steel heat-flavor plate beneath the cooking grids distributes heat evenly across the full 48" surface. There are no burner-pattern hot spots or cold corners — consistent, even heat from edge to edge.
How long does it take to preheat?›
The owner's manual recommends preheating for 10–12 minutes at your desired temperature before placing food on the grill.
How do I clean the cooking grids and grease trays?›
All four cooking grids and all four removable grease trays are dishwasher safe. You can also clean the grids manually by soaking in hot soapy water to loosen buildup, then rinsing. For the stainless exterior, use warm soapy water and a soft cloth, always wiping in the direction of the brushed grain. Never use abrasive cleaners, wire brushes, or scouring pads on any stainless surface or the digital control panels.
Can this grill be used on a condo balcony or rooftop where open flames are banned?›
Yes — provided your space has a 208/220V outlet and your building permits electric grills. ElectriChef grills produce no open flame, which is why they comply with fire ordinances that prohibit gas and charcoal in high-rise and multi-unit residential buildings. Always verify your building's specific rules before purchasing.
Can I use an extension cord?›
No. The owner's manual explicitly prohibits extension cords. The grill must connect directly to a properly grounded 208/220V outlet. If the nearest outlet is too far, have an electrician add a dedicated outlet closer to where you plan to use the grill.
How does the Tabletop compare to the Diamond 48" Closed-Base and Built-In models?›
All three share the identical cooking engine — 1,056 sq. in., 150°F–600°F, dual digital controls. The difference is the form factor. The Closed-Base arrives on locking casters with a full storage cabinet; it's freestanding and mobile. The Built-In is a drop-in grill head designed for a customer-supplied outdoor kitchen island. The Tabletop sits on four stainless steel legs on any flat outdoor surface — the most straightforward setup, with no island construction and no cart. If you have a sturdy outdoor counter or table near a 220V outlet, the Tabletop is the cleanest path to Diamond performance.
What is the warranty on the Diamond 48" Tabletop?›
ElectriChef's limited warranty covers the stainless steel grill assemblies for the lifetime of the original purchaser. Cooking grids are warranted for 5 years, the stainless steel heat-flavor plate for 3 years, and all other electrical and mechanical components for a minimum of 1 year from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship; it does not cover damage from misuse or negligence. Labor is not included, and the buyer is responsible for return transportation costs on defective parts.
Is a grill cover included, and what cover fits?›
A grill cover is not included. ElectriChef offers compatible built-in/tabletop grill covers sized for the 48" model, available separately. Using a cover is strongly recommended when the grill is not in use to protect the stainless finish and digital controls from weather.
Does the food taste different on an electric grill versus gas or charcoal?›
The flavor comes from the food and any drippings hitting the heat-flavor plate — not from combustion. There is no smoke or gas note, which many cooks find results in a cleaner, truer expression of the food's natural flavor. If you want added smoke, a smoker box with wood chips can be placed on the cooking surface.
Can this grill be used indoors?›
No. All ElectriChef grills are designed for outdoor use only. Do not operate indoors, in a garage, or in any enclosed space.
Where are ElectriChef grills made?›
ElectriChef grills are built in Temple, Texas, USA.
Can I get replacement parts if something needs service?›
Yes. ElectriChef supports both current and legacy models with replacement parts including control boards, relays, and heating elements. Contact ElectriChef at (800) 442-7207 or visit their parts catalog online. If you're unsure which part you need, their customer service team can help diagnose and identify the correct component.
How do I register my grill for warranty coverage?›
Register directly with ElectriChef at electri-chef.com/register-your-grill. Registration is recommended to activate warranty coverage and keep your purchase on record with the manufacturer.
